Strength

Strength tarot card
1The lion is her inner critic, not passion or instinct.
2Her hands are in its mouth. Nobody in their right mind does that, which is rather the point.
3The lion’s tail is between its legs: it has already submitted to her.
4She does this every single day. You don’t beat that voice once and be finished with it.
The Inner Voice CardThe lion is your inner critic, and she’s the one holding its mouth.
  • Your inner voice, and who is in charge of it
  • Strength you have already built
  • Clearly you are
In a reading

The voice telling you that you can’t is the thing to work on here, not the situation. Control what you can actually control.

Deeper meaning

She has to do this every single day

The lion is her inner critic, her inner demons, and she is the one controlling that lion’s mouth. The part people don’t talk about with this card is that she has to do it every single day. You don’t conquer that voice once and it is handled. There is always going to be a little voice in the back of your head telling you that you can’t do something or you won’t get through something, and the work is being the one who decides what it gets to say. It is a bit of a card of showing off too, because who in their right mind sticks their hands in a lion’s mouth. And if you are sitting there thinking you are not strong enough for this, clearly you are. That is what the card is saying.

In the good stuff

This is strength you’ve already built showing up, not new strength arriving.
