Four of Wands

Four of Wands tarot card
1The four wands make a finish line, and he has to get to the other side of it to celebrate.
2The people are already celebrating over there, waiting for him to come through.
3It’s a threshold, not a wall.
The Finish Line You Walk Through CardThe celebration is real, and it’s on the far side. You have to cross.
  • Setting yourself free
  • Marriage and commitment
  • Crossing the finish line

IN A READING

Two readings here and I use both about equally. In love it’s commitment, sometimes marriage. Everywhere else it’s freedom, setting yourself free from something.

deeper meaning

It doesn’t say quit

This one splits two ways and both halves are strong. In a love reading I go straight to commitment, and yes, sometimes marriage. Everywhere else it’s the card of freedom and setting yourself free, which is why it’s so useful sitting next to the Eight of Swords. The image that ties them together is the finish line. Those four wands make a threshold and the people are already celebrating on the other side of it. He has to walk through to join them. So if you’re working on something, maybe it’s time to wrap it up and put it out into the world so you can finally celebrate. And to be clear, this card doesn’t say quit. It says finish.

In the good stuff

You’re crossing the finish line, and there are people on the other side of it.
