Spoiled for choice, and I do mean that as good news before I name the problem. The problem with the card is that he’s spending too much time thinking about the outcomes. He’s dreaming seven different versions of one thing rather than choosing any of them. And the failure mode here isn’t really indecision, it’s talking yourself down into a smaller option because the bigger one feels risky. Don’t cheat yourself out of something that could be good for you. Pick the one you actually want and focus only on that. If you keep getting this card month after month, that’s telling you something by itself. The choice has been open too long.
