I call this my card of third-place solutions — most people read her as finding middle ground, negotiating, mediating between two sides, and that’s true. But she’s got a new island behind her that she’s not seeing, because she’s blindfolded.
The rocks in the water can make her afraid of getting hurt, but if she took the blindfold off she’d see the water’s actually at low tide — she could walk across safely. The water represents her emotions, so this card often comes up around a relationship where someone wants to open up but hasn’t yet. If she does, paying attention to what she’s learned before, she’ll get safely to something completely new.
