The Hierophant

The Hierophant tarot card
1Three stages on his crown and three on his staff: initiation, apprenticeship, mastery.
2His hand raised over the two in front of him: blessings coming in, and there are a lot of ways they arrive.
3That same hand gesture turns up on the Ten of Swords, which is how I know that card is a blessing in disguise.
4The two initiates: he is teaching them his belief system. You get to decide whether you keep it.
The Rules You Follow Just Because CardSome of what you believe you never actually picked. Somebody made it up and you kept it.
  • Belief systems, and whether yours still serve you
  • Blessings coming in
  • Thinking outside the box
In a reading

Blessings coming in, and a good time to look at which of your beliefs you actually chose.

Deeper meaning

Who came up with that rule?

This card is belief systems, and the useful question it asks is which of yours you actually picked. I see it all the time with people following rules they got from some expert online. Well, who came up with that rule? Just some person came up with it. He is a little bit inside the box, and I don’t dislike him for it, but what is usually needed right now is the opposite. Think a little outside the box, see what could be, and then go make it happen. The other half of him is blessings, because he is blessing the two people in front of him. And if you are somewhere between initiation, apprenticeship and mastery on something, that dip you are in is normal. People quit right before they get good.

In the good stuff

Blessings coming in, and beliefs that are actually serving you for once.
