Hey there, Scorpio. Think about the last time a real opportunity showed up and you quietly set it down before it had a chance to become anything. It looked a little too uncertain, or the timing was not perfect, so you passed.

That habit is the whole story this month. Mercury and Venus are both turning retrograde in your sign, and Venus starts today, so you are being nudged to look deeper at what you keep dismissing. Any power struggle you feel is mostly internal. It is the part of you that wants everything to be ideal before you move.

You cannot know a thing has no future if you never tried it, and you do not have to commit to it forever. Trying is allowed to be small, playful and a little messy.

• Say yes to a first attempt. That could be a project, an idea, or a first date you are unsure about. Get the free dinner and find out what is underneath the one odd detail that put you off.
• Raise the investment as it works. Put in a little effort, see what comes back, then double it. The danger is giving the same small amount for months so nothing ever grows.
• Set things up before Mars turns retrograde next year. Anything you start now, you can keep moving through the slowdown.
• Heal an old heartbreak while Venus is in your sign. It goes back into Libra on the 25th and turns direct in mid November, so you have a long stretch to work on it.
• Study what your competition is skipping. Find the gap they leave open and fill it. Curiosity pays off during these two retrogrades.
