Pisces Lunar Eclipse

The month opens with a bang in Leo and it closes in the deep end. On August 28th we get a total lunar eclipse in Pisces, in the opening degrees of the sign, and this one is quieter, softer, and a lot more intuitive. Its whole message is simple. Trust what you already know.

This is the second of the two eclipses this August. For the big picture, start with the eclipse season 2026 overview, then come back here for the Pisces piece.

A full moon eclipse brings things to the surface

A lunar eclipse is a full moon turned all the way up, and full moons bring things to a peak and then ask you to release. In Pisces, the sign of intuition, dreams, and everything you feel more than you can explain, that release is emotional and spiritual more than practical.

Something you have been sensing under the surface for a while is likely to come fully to light now. Not as a shock, more like a knowing you can no longer talk yourself out of.

Pisces feeling, Virgo focus

Every full moon sits opposite the Sun, and right now the Sun is in Virgo. So this eclipse is a conversation between Pisces and Virgo. Pisces says feel it, trust it, surrender to it. Virgo says sort it out, keep what is real, let go of the rest. The sweet spot is honoring your intuition and then doing something grounded with it.

Your intuition is loud right now. Keep a note by your bed. The messages that arrive in dreams, in the shower, or right as you drift off are the ones to pay attention to this week.

How to work with it

Pisces eclipses are not for forcing. They are for listening. A few things I would do around the 28th:

  • Pay close attention to your dreams and any repeating signs. This is a very thin, intuitive window.
  • Give yourself real rest. Water signs need to refill, and this eclipse is asking you to.
  • Forgive something, or someone, including yourself. Release is the whole assignment of a lunar eclipse.

The tarot that echoes this eclipse

The cards for this one are the intuitive heavyweights. The Moon is pure Pisces energy, the call to trust yourself through the fog instead of stopping. The High Priestess is deep inner knowing and the secrets that surface when you go quiet. And The Star shows up again as the hope and healing that flow out of an eclipse. If those keep appearing for you this week, they are not random.

This eclipse is not asking you to figure it all out. It is asking you to trust the part of you that already has.

That closes out eclipse season. If you have not read the first one yet, go back to the Leo solar eclipse on August 12th. To see how it lands for your sign, read your weekly tarot reading, or pull three cards any time on the homepage.

Your intuition is the whole engine of a good tarot reading, and learning to trust it on purpose is what I teach inside the Ultimate Tarot Masterclass.
