IN A READING

Go for it. This one is bold with the odds already worked out.

deeper meaning

He’s protected from risk

He’s bold, assertive and going for what he wants, which is the same formula I use for the Queen, so the fair question is what makes him different. Two things. He has these salamanders on his cloak, and salamanders represent protection from fire, which basically says he’s protected from risk. And he adds a little bit of future vision. He can see where the thing goes. Put those together and his boldness isn’t gambling, it’s a calculated move by somebody who can take the hit. When somebody needs courage rather than confidence, this is the card I reach for, and it’s very good sitting next to the Fool.

In the good stuff

Bold, covered, and able to see where it goes. Take the swing.
