- Mastery, diligence, skill-building
- Pausing to see how far you’ve come
In a reading: keep refining your craft, but look up once in a while to see your progress.
The Eight of Pentacles is mastery — mastering a craft. He’s almost done, just one pentacle left to make, and he’s completely head-down, nose to the grindstone.
What I think he actually needs is to pause and look up at what he’s already built. I see this as a card of perspective — when you really take stock of everything you’ve accomplished, whatever you’re about to tackle next suddenly looks a lot easier.
