Hey there, Cancer. You have been carrying the same maybe around for weeks, turning it over late at night and making it a little more complicated each time you pick it up. This week is a good one to put it down and look at it plainly.
The week of October 5th is a clarifying week, and it does not have to be about love. It can be any relationship you have: a person, a job, a plan, or a standard you have been quietly lowering. Your head is full of useful information right now, and it is working for you. Where you get stuck is the moment something good gets offered and you start hunting for the reason to run. There is no rush here, and you are also as ready as you are going to be.
Venus goes retrograde on the 3rd and Mercury follows in the middle of the month, so expect a little uncertainty and a few misunderstandings. Most of them will be exactly that. The obstacles you are bracing for look easy to solve, and the worry is bigger than the problem. Try the opportunity in a small way first, the way you ease into a hot bath, then give it a little more once it gives something back.
- Draw the line. Decide what meets your standard and what does not, and let people, places and plans in or out on that basis.
- Try it small. Put a little energy into the opportunity, and if it gives something back, add a little more.
- Do the detective work. Research whatever you want to grow before you decide, because information is on your side this week.
- Ask instead of assuming. With two retrogrades this month, if a message or a mood confuses you, ask the person what they meant.
- Make room to listen. Give yourself real quiet time, whether that is journaling or just following your breath. You already know more than you are giving yourself credit for.
