Hey there, Virgo. If you have been waking up in the middle of the night with your head full of ideas, keep a notebook by the bed. Write whatever comes out without judging it, and you may fall right back to sleep.

The lesson of the week is to simplify. Pick one thing in your life that has gotten too complicated and build a simple process to untangle it. It does not even have to be a good process. Do that, and you get rewarded. Probably through 2028, the simple answer keeps winning over the complicated one, even though we tend to assume the complicated one must be right.

This is also the first full week of Mercury retrograde in Scorpio, which favors practical plans, finding resources, and digging into money, work and investments. You do not have to act on the plan yet. You can even raise money right now: go through the attic, have a yard sale, and fund a project with what you find. On the love side, someone could confess interest in you over the next few weeks, but timing is loose guidance at best. You still have to leave the house and talk to people.

• Make a plan, not a perfect one. Retrograde favors planning, so write down how you would handle money, work or investments, even if you start later.
• Heal before you invite love in. An old hurt is still sitting in your heart, and love has a hard time getting in with it there. Practice forgiveness.
• Mix two unrelated skills. The secret sauce right now is combining ideas that do not seem to belong together, including an old skill you forgot you had.
• Build momentum before the new year. Mars turns retrograde in your sign in January, so the months before it are for routines that carry you through. Mars retrograde is also known for gossip, so when people talk, ignore it.
• Walk away from what does not fulfill you. Choose not to settle for less.
• Reach out to the distant friend. Someone far away could be thinking of you. Contact them, because they may have advice or just need someone to talk to.
