🥴 This is So Embarrassing…Yesterday was the one-year anniversary of me trying to embarrass myself daily on purpose (You Can Watch the Short Here). I ran this little experiment because of Spanx founder Sara Blakley. She said somewhere, “I often do things that are embarrassing on purpose. I will actually seek out embarrassing situations so that the fear of embarrassment loses its power over me.” Here’s what I learned:
Since starting, I have cared less and less about negative feedback. – I have done many things this last year that I might not have done in past years. I am more comfortable leaving my comfort zone. -Its helped me weed people out. Anyone who takes things I do too seriously gets the boot. There is a lot more, but that’s it for now. Get out there and embarrass yourself. It’s a superpower.
